The Rite of the Womb
The Rite of the Womb is known as the 13th Rite of the Munay-Ki. This Rite came to Marcela Lobos in a dream, where four medicine women, as midwives, helped her birth a baby -a metaphorical baby representing her ancestral fear, and the pain that had become a blockage in her womb.
These medicine women had freed their own wombs from trauma and suffering using the spirit medicine of the jungle, and the power of the Jaguar, to heal themselves and thus heal Mother Earth.
Some years later, in a shamanic journey the medicine women returned and gave Marcela the 13th Rite of the Womb to share with women around the world.
In the 13th Rite of the Womb we invite the medicine women and the spirit of the Jaguar to be with us as we initiate deep womb healing for ourselves, our ancestral lines, and our daughters who have yet to be born.
Marcela writes:
“And now you are the lineage as much as I am the lineage. We are becoming women who freed themselves from suffering. Keep nurturing the rite until there is no more fear or pain in your womb.”
Once you have received the Rite of the Womb, you are invited to ‘nurture it’ for at least 13 moons, using these words as you offer some of your menstrual blood to the earth (or wine for those who are not menstruating).
I release my fear, so I may embrace freedom.
I release my pain, so I may embrace joy.
I release my anger, so I may embrace compassion.
I release my sadness, so I may embrace peace.
This beautiful Rite is often received by a group of women, within a ceremonial circle setting. Jaqi also offers this Rite in it's simplest form, within a personal ceremonial space, in-person or online.
Every woman that receives this Rite is encouraged to nurture the Rite, and pass it on to as many women as possible. Guidance on ways to pass on the Rite is always available.
Jaqi includes this Rite within the receiving of the 9 Munay -Ki Rites. It can be also be received on it's own, or included during an 'Illumination' Healing Session'.
